4 charged in death of woman hit by stray bullet

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Four Memphis men are charged with reckless homicide in the death of a woman killed in her home by a stray bullet while watching TV.

Memphis police say 56-year-old Mary McKinney was hit in the head last week by a bullet fired at someone else outside her apartment.

Police said Monday they have filed homicide charges against four men. They were identified as 25-year-old Melvin Martin, 20-year-old Lloyd Crawford, 24-year-old Chauncey Joyner and 26-year-old Antonio Humphrey.

Joyner and Humphrey also were charged with being felons in possession of firearms.
