Deputies investigate home invasion in Cordova

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - Shelby County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating an overnight home invasion robbery in Cordova.

According to investigators, three armed, masked men broke into a home on Port Douglas Drive around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. There, they tied up They tied up Raven Parson, 31, and her three children: two girls, 14 and 10, and a three year-old boy.  The assailants then ransacked the house.

About 1:00 a.m., Tavious Swift, 28, arrived at the house, which he shares with Parson and the children.  Swift was also attacked and tied up.    

Two hours later, the attackers left the home in Swift’s black Chevy Tahoe with an undetermined amount of cash and jewelry. 

Swift sustained minor injuries during the incident and was taken to Baptist East. The four other victims were not hurt.

Detectives believe the attack was not random, and that the home was targeted because of the cash, jewelry and other items.

Port Douglas Drive dead ends near to the victims’ home in a subdivision behind the Lowe’s on Germantown Road.
