U.S. Representative Steve Cohen is being roundly criticized for his comments on the floor of the House describing Jesus as a community organizer like Democratic Presidential nominee Barack Obama.
Representative Cohen has backed away from his comments, but some people are still mad about them. One of them is Sean Ellis.
In his words:
"I could care less what political statement Congressman Cohen was trying to make, but to degrade the leader of Christianity to the level of a community organizer is unbelievable. I have nothing against community organizers. I believe they do a great job for all communities, but Jesus was not putting on job fairs or organizing meetings to help the needy. He came to die for the sins of the world. Someone should hold Congressman Cohen accountable for his comments."
