Relatives plead for information about accident that killed boy

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - Relatives of a seven-year-old boy who died after a weekend traffic accident said Wednesday they want to know more about what happened.

Keithen Leapoe DeAndre Taylor, Jr. was badly injured Sunday when the car he was in was rear-ended by another vehicle. Officers at the scene said the woman behind the wheel had a diabetic seizure.

Initially taken to the hospital suffering from brain injuries, Taylor was taken off life support Tuesday night.

"I'm angry," the boy's grandmother, Joyce Taylor-Jones, said Wednesday.  "I am praying everyday for God to take the anger away.  But I am very angry."

Though the accident happened several days ago family members claim they have still not received clear information from police about what exactly happened.  Taylor-Jones said officers would only say they're investigating the accident.

In the meantime, she is pleading for any eyewitnesses to come forward.

"We need your help," she said. "We're appealing to you."

Appealing - while she buries her grandson.

No one has been charged in the case, which is being treated as an accident.  If you saw what happened, you are urged to call the Memphis Police Department.
