Tigers Top Receiver Out for Nicholls State

The Tigers will be without one of their Top Offensive weapons for the game, and maybe longer.

Wide Receiver Maurice Jones took a hit in practice last night and suffered what team Doctors are calling a Grade 2 Sprain.

He could be sidelined 2-weeks or longer.

A Senior out of White Station High School, Jones is having his best season as a Tiger, leading the team with more than 300 receiving yards, and averaging right at 20-yards per catch.

He's tied for the lead with 3-touchdown catches.

Jones had a career high 173 yards against Rice Two Weeks ago.

That's the Third Highest Single Game Total in U of M history.
