Big rig knocks out local Comcast service

People across the Memphis area were left without television, Internet or phone service Saturday, all thanks to big rig's mishap.

On Saturday morning, an 18-wheeler truck turning around in a parking lot pulled down cable lines, damaging a fiber line that discontinued local telecommunications services for hours.

Many locals worried they'd miss their much-anticipated weekend sports programming. Comcast worked throughout the day to restore service to all regional customers by 2:00 Saturday afternoon, just in time for the Tennessee vs. Florida football game.
