Grizzlies Open Pre-Season Tonight Without Jaric

After just opening camp last week, the Memphis Grizzlies are ready to start playing...

Well, pre-season games, anyway..

The Grizz open the Exhibition season at Houston tomorrow night...

Of Course, A lot of focus will be on Prized Rookie O.J. Mayo, and the maturation of 3rd year forward Rudy Gay...

But, one player who WON'T see action, is having one of the best camps of anybody.

Marko Jaric was part of the trade with Minnesota that helped bring Mayo to Memphis.

The Burley 6'7" Serbian broke his nose in training but practiced anyway..

He'll sit out Tuesday while getting it fixed.

"I have been in several rebuilding situations.." Jaric says: "The Clippers, Minnesota, now Memphis. Anything can happen when you look at talent and willingness to compete. Any team in the NBA is capable to have a good season."

Jaric will miss about 5-days.

The Grizz play the Rockets Tuesday night..

Their home Pre-Season opener is Wednesday vs Washington at FedExForum.
