Three arrested in HDTV thefts

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - Three men are behind bars for stealing dozens of high-definition televisions from a downtown hotel.

Cedric Douglas, Melvin Combs, and Daniel Reed all face two charges of burglary and theft between 10 and $60,000.

They are accused of stealing 39 televisions from a downtown hotel.

The group apparently had key to a satellite storage unit inside the Kress building.

According to the affidavit of complaint, they loaded the televisions onto a dolly, wheeled them out of the building, loaded them onto a getaway truck, and drove off.

Surveillance cameras caught the three in action. At least three cameras on the street were rolling during the group's preparation and aftermath of the theft.

Hotel officials said they are pleased with how it all turned out and credit the cooperation of neighbors for helping solve the crime.
