"Wheel of Fortune" to hold tryouts in Tunica

TUNICA, MS (WMC-TV) - Fans of the popular television game show "Wheel of Fortune" can stop being Wheel Watchers, and actually try out to be a contestant, at an event this weekend in Tunica.

Game show representatives will audition contestants at Sam's Town Casino this Saturday and Sunday from 1pm to 5pm.

To get on the show, producers said, you've got to let your personality shine.  Host Marty Lublin said the ability to solve a puzzle is only half the battle.

"We want people to stand out this weekend and really show their personality," Lublin said. "We're going to see hundreds and hundreds of people this weekend, so you've really gotta think about what makes you stand out - what makes you unique."

Producers are looking for good puzzle solvers who speak in a loud clear voice and interact with the host.  They said contestants should try to have fun, and try not to appear nervous.
There will be three, one hour shows on both days.  Potential contestants must fill out an application, which will be drawn at random.  Producers will start handing out those applications at noon both days.
