OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. (AP) - A hotel in north Mississippi has decided not to allow a white supremacists group to use its facilities for a conference this weekend.
Plans for the International Euro Conference at the Whispering Woods Hotel and Conference Center in Olive Branch had already prompted local officials to issue a state of emergency. That allowed the county to bring in additional law enforcement.
The hotel issued a statement Tuesday, saying it was "committed to the safety and well being of our customers, guests and employees."
The conference was being held by former Ku Klux Klan leader and one-time Louisiana state representative David Duke and the European-American Unity and Rights Organization.
