Memphis Zoo's baby giraffe named

Tens of thousands voted, and the female baby giraffe at the Memphis Zoo officially has a new name: Sesi.

Sesi means "sister" in Swahili, a major language spoken in the African region where giraffes are found.
13-year-old Sarabi gave birth to Sesi on the morning of October 10.
Almost 20,000 visitors cast their votes on the zoo's Web site. Sesi was chosen over Shani, meaning "marvelous", and Zuri, meaning "beautiful".
