High School Teacher Runs for St. Jude

CBHS English professor Tom Kolodzeij is running for a different title Saturday.

He's running in the Half Marathon portion of the Annual St. Jude Marathon as Captain of Team Tyler.

Kolodjeij challenged his students to help him raise cash for the Childrens' Research Hospital in memory of St. Jude Patient Tyler McKinnon, a CBHS student who died recently.

"I set the number at $2,500 Dollars..and if reached I would shave my head. As of this day we've raised more than $76-Hundred Dollars, or way more than our goal. So they did their part, and i've got more than 100 Teenage Boys to make sure I do my part of the bargain."

And Kolodziej has the clean dome to prove it...as approved by his daughters' close inspection.

More than 14-thousand Runners hit the streets Downtown Saturday Morning 7:15am at Fourth Near Beale.

The Finish line is inside AutoZone Park.
