This week's "Your Turn" segment goes to Carolyn Williams. Williams is concerned that area police are being too lax when it comes to teens drinking and driving. She's unhappy with some parents too.

In her words:

"As the mother of a new driver in high school, I am shocked by the stories my daughter is telling me about her friends who get caught by the police drinking and driving. She says they're not getting ticketed or having their licenses revoked. One friend was caught drinking twice in one night by the same police officer. He let her off with a warning both times. These are middle and upper middle class, private school teenagers. I am discouraged that there are no repercussions for this behavior. In addition, 16-year-old drivers can only drive until 11:00 p.m. and can only have one passenger in their car. Very few parents enforce this law."

That's Carolyn Williams' turn. Now it's your turn. To comment on this segment or anything else, email yourturn@wmctv.com.
