MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Prosecutors say no trial date is in sight for a Memphis man charged with murdering six people - including two of his brother's young children.

Jessie Dotson is charged with six counts of first-degree murder and three counts of attempted murder. Prosecutors say they will seek the death penalty.

At a brief court hearing Thursday, prosecutors said they are still putting together their evidence against Dotson, who is accused of going on a shooting and stabbing rampage at his brother's house in Memphis last year.

The brother - Cecil Dotson - was among those killed. Three of Cecil Dotson's children were critically injured but survived.

Prosecutors said they cannot predict when the case might be ready for trial. Dotson's next court appearance is set for Feb. 20.
