Gang members stash drugs, guns in sheds of unsuspecting neighbors

Clarence Reid, along with brothers Javaris and Mario Blakely, are not only suspected drug dealers.
"They freely admitted they were members of the Crips gang," said Shelby Co. Sheriff's Office Spokesman Steve Shular.
A tip led sheriff's deputies to a house on Tutwiler in Binghampton where they say the trio ran a marijuana operation. Evidence found inside the house included drugs, scales and ammunition.
"Part of the tip was that deputies should look inside of a shed next door," said Shular. "And sure enough, they found what they were looking for."
Police found two rifles and pre-packaged bags of marijuana hidden inside the shed of an unsuspecting neighbor.
"If they got that much nerve, they may have enough nerve to do something to me," said a woman we'll call "Delores", who asked to keep her identity a secret.
She's the next-door neighbor whose shed was used to store the guns and drugs without her knowledge.
"There's nothing out there but furniture and junk and stuff that I don't use," she said.
But someone was using Delores' shed. She says she's often afraid to leave her home of 20 years "because it's dangerous out there."
But she says she's happy about the deputies' discovery next door and inside her storage shed.
"Well, all this drugs and stuff need to be cleaned up. That's what needs to happen."
Deputies also found a path leading from the suspected drug house to the yard of another neighbor, where they found a third rifle inside a shed - also linked to the gang members.
