Waitress shot and killed during attempted robbery

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - A waitress working at the Billiards La Loma pool hall was shot during an attempted robbery overnight and later died of her injuries.

Police responded to the call at 4210 Winchester Road around 1:30am Monday morning.  The 28-year-old waitress was shot twice in the torso while two male suspects were attempting to rob the Billiards La Loma pool hall. 

The waitress was transported to The Med in critical condition, where she later died as a result of her injuries.

The suspects escaped on foot in an unknown direction.  Police are asking anyone with information about this crime to call Crimestoppers at 528-CASH.
