Former Olive Branch cops set for sentencing

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - Sentencing hearings have been set for two former Olive Branch police officers named in a civil rights case dating back nearly six years.

Richard Scott Gentry and Micheal Todd Fulwood will appear again before U.S. District Court Chief Judge Michael Mills on Feb. 19 in Oxford.

The two men last appeared before the judge early last year to admit they conspired to cover up another officer's alleged wrongdoing during a 2003 arrest.

Gentry was assistant chief and Fulwood was a major for the Olive Branch police department at the time of their criminal offense.
