Grizzlies add Bibby, Stoudamire as coaches

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - The Memphis Grizzlies announced Friday that Henry Bibby and Damon Stoudamire have joined as assistant coaches under new head coach Lionel Hollins.

Bibby, who has more than 25 years of collegiate and professional basketball experience, has spent the past two seasons as an assistant coach with the Philadelphia 76ers.

He also served as the head coach of the men's basketball team at the University of Southern California from 1996 to 2004. Under his tenure, the team had a 131-111 record and an Elite Eight appearance in the 2001 NCAA Tournament.

During his professional career, Bibby was a member of the New York Knicks 1973 NBA championship team.

Stoudamire played with the Grizzlies from 2005 to 2008 and is returning to Memphis for his first NBA coaching job.
