Frayser stabbing sends 2 to hospital

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - An overnight stabbing in Frayser sent two people to the hospital Thursday morning.

Police were called to the seventeen-hundred block of Gowan Drive after a man broke through the bathroom window at his ex-girlfriend's apartment and stabbed her and a companion while they were sleeping.

Police say the suspect stabbed both victims in the upper torso.  The male victim was transported to the MED in critical condition, but has been upgraded to serious. The female victim, also taken to the MED, was originally listed in non-critical condition, but has since worsened to critical condition.

Three children were also inside the apartment at the time of the attack, but they were all asleep and didn't see the incident.

The suspect, who is in his 20's, is now in police custody.
