Plea agreement reached in tattoo artist's killing

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - A man accused of killing a Memphis tattoo artist reached a plea agreement Thursday that will spare him from the death penalty.

Jeremy Young was one of four suspects indicted for the murder of Chianne Gast, who was shot to death inside Top Shelf Tattoos on Summer Avenue in July of 2007.

Young was the only suspect that faced the death penalty in the killing because he was believed to be the triggerman in Gast's murder.

Thursday, Young pleaded guilty in exchange for a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
