Mississippi's Kevin Beech Named Sher-Wood/Central Hockey League Goaltender of the Month The Central Hockey League announced today that Kevin Beech of the Mississippi RiverKings has been named the Sher-Wood/Central Hockey League Goaltender of the Month for the month of February/2009.
Beech will receive a Sher-Wood/CHL logoed portable DVD player, courtesy of Sher-Wood, to recognize his accomplishment.
It marks the second consecutive month that Beech has won the monthly award, a feat accomplished last year by Bossier-Shreveport's Ken Carroll.
Beech went 9-0-1 during the near perfect month for himself and his team. He allowed 26 goals for a 2.55 goals against average and had a .908 save percentage.
On the season, Beech leads the league with 30 wins and three shutouts and ranks fourth with a 2.40 goals against average.
The RiverKings are on top of the Northeast Division with a 37-14-3 record overall.
