CBU 15th in Final NCAA Div-2 Poll/Ready for NCAA Tournament

KANSAS CITY, Mo.-The Christian Brothers University Bucs were ranked 15th in the final NABC/Division II Coaches Poll of 2008-09, their highest final ranking ever.

The Bucs (22-6) were ranked No. 12 last week.

CBU has been ranked in the final NABC poll one other time, when they finished No. 19 in 2003-04.

The Bucs will return to the court Saturday morning in the NCAA Division II South Regional quarterfinals in Lakeland, Fla. The second-seeded Bucs take on seventh-seeded Delta State in the first round. No. 10 Claflin, No. 11 Florida Southern, and No. 14 Benedict will also play at the regional, as well as Arkansas Tech, who received three votes.

LeMoyne-Owen College of Memphis, the 8th Seed, will take on Top Seed Florida Southern at 5pm Friday in Lakeland, FL.
