CORDOVA, Tenn. (WMC-TV) - Grief-stricken family members and friends of murdered Bartlett woman Lisa Davis gathered for a private memorial service at Bellevue Baptist Church Thursday night.

"I don't think they had any idea the amount of lives Lisa touched with her humor, great nature and great smile," said friend Mark Parsell.

Those who attended the evening of prayer and remembrance said Davis meant so much to so many people.

"She'd just really lighten everyone up," said Joe Kilpatrick, a friend and co-worker. "Just always cheerful. Even if she was a little under the weather, she'd still laugh with you. A wonderful human being."

The 29-year-old model and employee of Bumpus Harley Davidson was found dead in a Lakeland field earlier this week.

Austin Agee, the man suspected in her disappearance, fatally shot himself after leaving a note that led authorities to Davis' body.

Cameras were not permitted inside the church on Thursday, but friends said the service was a special way to honor Davis' memory.

"The scriptures were selected to explain the unexpected loss of someone," said Parsell. "I think everyone walked out of there with less of a hole in their heart than they had when they walked in."

And while there are still a lot of unanswered questions surrounding Davis' death, family and friends say she'll always remain in their hearts.

"We'll miss her dearly, but she'll always be with us," said Kilpatrick. "Always."
