MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Five people are fighting to recover, after they were shot leaving a Memphis house party Saturday night.
The shooting happened on Lady Slipper Lane just after 9:30 p.m.
Memphis police said two victims were rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
Three others were considered non-critical.
We spoke with neighbors Charlene Allen and Wayne King.
“I’ve been here 22 years and this is the first time anything like this has ever happened,” said Allen.
It's a night Allen and her neighbors in this Hickory Hill neighborhood won't forget.
Allen said she heard 10-15 gunshots.
"The kids over here was running everywhere," said King.
He said he and his wife tried to help some of the victims, including a severely injured young woman.
"The young lady was laying in the grass. She was shot in the face. Went through her jaw came out the other side of her face," said King.
He said one of the bullets also hit his wife's car.
The bullet pierced through the trunk, back and front passenger seats before ending up in the door.
King said had the car not been parked in his driveway, the bullet could've traveled into his kids bedroom.
"I could have lost a child for no reason at all just because somebody wants to play, shoot people, you know," said King.
Witnesses described the shooters as three men dressed in all black.
A relative of one of the victims told us off the shooting appeared to stem from some type of beef on social media.
Neighbors said no matter what caused the shooting, violence like this isn't the answer.
“Just please, just stop the shooting. That’s all you got to do. It’s easy,” said King.
