MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - President Donald Trump awarded Memphis' own Elvis Presley with a Presidential Medal of Freedom on Friday.
Presley was one of seven Americans to receive the award. including Miriam Adelson, Orrin Hatch, Alan Page, Babe Ruth, Antonin Scalia, and Roger Staubach.
Presley was recognized for his ability as a musician as well as serving two years in the United States Army.
Elvis died in 1977 at his Graceland home in Memphis.
