MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Thanksgiving travelers at Memphis International Airport enjoyed some canine companionship Tuesday as the airport celebrated five years of their therapy dog program.
The team of registered therapy dogs helped passengers deal with the stress of holiday travel. The airport had "petting stations' available for travelers and passed out treats for passengers to take home to their own pets.
“We like to come during the holidays where there is lots of people, a lot of stress,” said JoAnne Fusco of West Tennessee Therapy Dogs.
The Memphis Area Golden Retriever Rescue Group was also on hand sharing information about their organization.
