MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - A Mid-South high school band kicked off the New Year in a major way Tuesday.
The Munford High School band marched in the 130th Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California. There are about 200 students in the band.
Their trip was eventful to say the least. The band’s travel plans were briefly interrupted last week when part of the group was stranded at the airport in Dallas because of bad weather.
Munford’s TV appearance was also delayed until just before the end of the live broadcast after a float broke down.
Getting to the Rose Parade was a big feat as well. The band took on a massive fundraising effort to get their group to California.
Way to go, Cougars! You’re making the Mid-South proud!
