Police identify victim in deadly Christmas Eve shooting
Police say persons of interest in a Christmas Eve shooting were caught on surveillance cameras around the same time as the shooting.

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Memphis police are asking for help identifying persons of interest in a Christmas Eve shooting that killed one man and injured another.

Two men were shot around 1:30 p.m. Dec. 24 near Airways and Ketchum. Both were taken to the hospital in critical condition, but 50-year-old Juan Garcia-Rincon died two days later.

Investigators initially described the suspects as two black men wearing all black clothing, traveling in a burgundy car with plastic on the driver’s side window.

Police say surveillance cameras near the shooting caught several people in the area who may have information.

Officers are now trying to identify the individuals and ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (901) 528-CASH or visit www.crimestopmem.org. Tipsters will remain anonymous and may qualify for a $1,000 cash reward if an arrest is made.
