MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Months after a rat infestation closed it, Kirby High School is set to re-open Monday.
Students will walk through the doors to see the school's undergone a big transformation since it closed in September.
School officials showed off new furniture, technology and a fresh coat of paint last week.
It's part of a $2 million restoration project.
The principal said he looks forward to seeing the faces of the more than 800 students who go to Kirby.
Shelby County Schools said it worked with a vendor to rid the school of all the rodents.
The greenhouse, which is where the infestation happened, has also been taken down.
Officials said they’re working to build another one that will be detached from the school.
