MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Cold temperatures have returned and will remain in place for the next several days. The pattern is dry for now, but a system from the southwest will bring rain to start the weekend.

THURSDAY NIGHT: Increasing Clouds WIND: NE 5 LOW: 30
THIS WEEK: A more seasonable pattern is back in place across the Mid-South making for a cold night ahead with not much of a warm up tomorrow. Clouds will stream in beginning Thursday night in advance of our next round of rain. Friday will be cloudy and cold with highs only in the lower 40s. A cold rain will develop Friday night with overnight lows falling into the mid to upper 30s.
THE WEEKEND: Saturday will be cloudy and cold with rain for much of the day. High temperatures will be in the mid 40s with lows in the mid 30s. Sunday will become partly with afternoon highs only in the lower 40s and overnight lows near 30.
NEXT WEEK: Monday will be partly cloudy and cold with high temperatures in the lower 40s with overnight lows again near 30. Tuesday will be mostly sunny with highs near 50 and lows in the mid 30s. Wednesday will be partly cloudy with highs in the lower 50s.
