JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -Another case of Hepatitis A has popped up in Jonesboro.

A press release issued Thursday by the Arkansas Department of Health warns people about Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen located in the 2100 block of Stadium Boulevard.

Anyone who ate at Cheddar’s restaurant on Dec. 22 and 23 should seek immediate medical attention if symptoms of the disease develop.

Symptoms to watch for are fever, fatigue, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, dark urine, clay-colored bowel movements, joint pain, or jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes). It can range in severity from a mild illness lasting a few weeks to a severe illness lasting several months.

If you are vaccinated within two weeks of exposure, you may prevent infection from occurring.

Anyone who would like to get the Hep A vaccine can contact the Craighead Co. Local Health Unit at 870-933-4585.
