It's a cloudy start to our day with temperatures in the 30s. We will see more sunshine this afternoon as clouds gradually break up. It will be slightly warmer today with highs in the upper 40s. Temperatures will drop into the mid 30s tonight.
TODAY: Decreasing clouds. Winds: SW 5-10 mph. High: 48.
TONIGHT: Partly Cloudy. Winds: SW 5 mph. Low: 36.
REST OF THE WEEK: Temperatures will gradually rise over the next few days with highs in the mid 50s Wednesday and near 60 for Thursday and Friday. Wednesday will start off with sunshine, but clouds will build throughout the day. Showers will move in on Thursday. It won’t be a wash-out, but you will likely see a scattered shower at some point of your day. We will clear out Friday, but rain moves back in for the weekend.
WEEKEND: Things get interesting this weekend as a strong cold front approaches the Mid-South. This front will bring in rain for most of the day on Saturday. No severe storms are expected. There could be enough leftover moisture as the front exits for some snow to form. Although the air temperature will be dropping below freezing when snow falls late Saturday night, ground temperatures will be above freezing. This means that snow will melt when it hits the road. There may be a dusting on grassy surfaces. It will be bitterly cold on Sunday and Monday. Highs will only be in the lower 30s and lows will be in the teens.
