MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -Memphis police say a woman’s son and neighbor came to the rescue after she was stabbed by her boyfriend.
On January 16 just before midnight, the woman was dropping off clothing to her boyfriend in the 3400 block of Starksdale.
While seated in her vehicle, her boyfriend Christopher Henry reached through the driver’s side window and stabbed her in the chest.
She was able to block a second attempt with her arm sustaining another stab wound.
She said that her son and a neighbor were able to subdue Henry and end the assault.
The woman drove herself to her home in the 4600 block of Shaker Cove and called authorities.
When police responded, Henry was armed with two knives and refused to comply with police commands, and officers used a taser on Henry.
He was taken into custody and was wearing an ankle monitoring device installed for a previous assault on the woman.
He is charged with aggravated assault and violating bond conditions and is being held on a $100,000 bond.
