MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -The weather has been so up and down the past few weeks and this upcoming week will be no exception. After the weekend, things get interested and yet complicated. I think we all know that means there is a chance of snow and its never simple around here.
Fast forward to Monday, highs will top out near 60 degrees ahead of a strong cold front that will usher in cold arctic air by Monday night. This will give us a shot at wintry weather. The system is going to move east pretty fast so this may limit the potential for high accumulation across the Mid-South.
The one thing that has been fairly consistent with the forecast models has been the timing. The timing has rain switching over to snow late Monday night and early Tuesday morning.
I think the most likely scenario is the GFS, which would give Memphis and west a dusting to a half an inch meanwhile, for places in northeast Mississippi and areas along the Tennessee River Valley, the areas could see 1 to 2″ .
The First Alert Weather Team will continue to monitor and track this system as it continues to develop. Stay tuned!
