MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Warming temperatures out ahead of a cold front that will move through Monday night and Tuesday. The cold front will bring in much colder air and chances of snow to parts of the Mid-South. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued in portions of North Mississippi and areas east along the Tennessee River Valley for Tuesday midnight through 9am.

MONDAY: Increasing clouds. Winds: S 5-10 mph. High: 57.
MONDAY NIGHT: Cloudy 60% chance of rain and snow. Winds NW 10-15 mph. Low: 23
WORK WEEK: Monday will be even warmer and the warmest day of the week, with afternoon highs in the upper 50s. A cold front late Monday night will bring an increase in clouds, a chance of light rain changing to snow, and overnight lows falling into the in the lower 20s. Tuesday will start mostly cloudy with a chance of light snow in the morning hours. Highs in the afternoon will only climb near 30 with lows falling into the upper teens to low 20s. The highest chance of snow will be for locations along the Tennessee River Valley in Tennessee and for locations in North Mississippi. Snowfall amounts in the advisory area could be up to an inch but this could change as models have been trending less so and a faster moving system. For now, models agree that Memphis could see mainly flurries to a dusting, but this may change as the system continues to develop. Keep it with the First Alert Weather Team for the latest.
MID TO LATE THIS WEEK: Once the big system exits the region, we are left with cold temperatures. Wednesday we will see partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies with highs in the 30s and lows in the teens and 20s. Thursday we will see much the same, partly to mostly sunny skies with highs in the 30s and lows in the 20s. Friday we will see an uptick in the clouds as moisture tries to move into the region. We could see a sprinkle on Friday, but we will warm into the upper 40s by the afternoon with lows in the upper 30s. Moving into the weekend, we will see highs in the low 50s with lows in the upper 40s, again with a small chance for a shower as a system brushes the region to our south.
