MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Cold arctic air will keep a grip on the Mid-South for one more night before southerly winds usher in much warmer air for the next few days.

THIS WEEK: Temperatures fall again tonight but a shift in winds tomorrow will bring rapidly warming temperatures into the Mid-South beginning tomorrow. Clouds will increase Thursday night as a result of the warmer air bringing an increase in Gulf moisture to the area which will ultimately lead to an increase in rain chance in the coming days. Friday will be mostly cloud with a slight chance of a shower and highs in the lower 50s with lows in the lower 40s.
THE WEEKEND: Saturday with a partly cloudy sky and even warmer with afternoon highs in the lower 60s and overnight lows near 50. Sunday will be mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers late in the day and highs in the mid 60s with lows in the upper 50s.
NEXT WEEK: Monday will be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and highs in the upper 60s and overnight lows in the mid to upper 50s. Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers along with highs in the mid to upper 60s and lows in the mid to upper 40s. Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with a slight chance of rain and highs in the mid 50s.
