Lyft offers free rides to Memphis Black history sites

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - During the month of February, Lyft is offering one free ride to local Black history museums, memorials, and Black-owned businesses in Memphis and other cities across the U.S. and Canada in honor of Black History Month.

With 54 percent of Memphis-area drivers identifying with a minority group, Lyft sees the importance of celebrating the diversity around us. As Memphis riders look for ways to learn more about the many contributions Black culture has made to local and national history,

Lyft is using its platform to bring greater understanding, connection, and support to Memphis’ diverse and vibrant communities.

Riders can use BHMMEM19 anytime this month for one free ride (up to $10) to the following locations:

  • National Civil Rights Museum
  • Slave Haven Underground Railroad Museum
