Rain moves out as temperatures plummet

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Another blast of arctic air invades the Mid-South as rain exits the area this evening. Wind chills Friday morning will be in the low to mid teens as winter reminds us that it isn’t over yet.

TONIGHT: Rain Ending WIND: NW 10-20 LOW: 27

FRIDAY: Partly Cloudy WIND: N 10-15 HIGH: 39

FRIDAY NIGHT: Mostly Cloudy WIND: NE 5-10 LOW: 26

A cold front has move through the Mid-South and will continue to move east with rain gradually ending behind it. Cold dry air begins flowing into the region overnight and will remain for the next couple of days. Tomorrow will be breezy and cold with wind chills in the mid to upper twenties for much of the day. Clouds return Friday night and will linger through the weekend.

THE WEEKEND: Saturday will be mostly cloudy and chilly with afternoon highs in the mid 40s and overnight lows in the upper 30s. Sunday will be cloudy with showers and highs in the upper 40s with lows in the mid 40s.

NEXT WEEK: Monday will be cloudy with rain and highs in the lower 50s and lows in the upper 40s. Tuesday will be cloudy with showers and highs in the mid 50s and overnight lows in the mid 30s. Wednesday will be partly cloudy with afternoon highs in the upper 40s and overnight lows in the lower 30s. Thursday will be partly cloudy with high temperatures in the upper 40s.
