MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Singer Kelly Clarkson brought her tour to the Mid-South Saturday, along with two Memphians who play in the band.
Glenn Hill and Charles Ray have been travelling around the country as part of Clarkson’s ‘Meaning of Life Tour.’
Hill is a graduate of Harding Academy and plays the trombone. He says playing in his home town feels like a big homecoming.
“It’s just a lot of fun to see familiar faces in the crowd tonight. All of my families are going to be there so it feels like a big homecoming honestly," Hill said.
Ray graduated from Ridgeway High and plays the trumpet during the tour.
“I’ve always had like a fantasy of being able to come back to Memphis and give back and take what I’ve learned and bring all of my experiences back," Ray said.
Both musicians tell WMC Action News 5 they hope their journey will inspire other young musicians to never give up and follow their dreams.
