MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - The Shelby County Board of Commissioners have opened the applications process for their Summer Youth Internship Program.
The program provides opportunities for students in Shelby County to develop constructive work habits and valuable job skills necessary to enter the workforce. Students will also be assigned a mentor during the program and will receive developmental workshop training.
Students will receive $8.00 per hour and can work 37.5 hours per week.
To qualify, students must be 16-years-old by June 1, 2019 and currently enrolled in school. The deadline to apply is by March 15, 2019.
