MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Winds diminish tonight ahead of an approaching cold front. A stray shower is possible this evening ahead of the front but better chances for rain will move in tomorrow.

A mainly dry night is in store for the Mid-South with only a slight chance of a shower. Tonight’s low temperature is expected to be tomorrow’s high temperature as a cold front will move through the area early in the morning bringing a north wind and gradually falling temperatures through the day. Scattered showers will develop during the afternoon and continue into the evening. Rain will end Friday night as temperatures continue to fall.
THE WEEKEND: Saturday will be mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers along with high temperatures in the upper 40s with overnight lows near 40. Sunday will be mostly cloudy with a slight chance of rain and highs in the lower 50s with lows in the mid 30s.
NEXT WEEK: Monday will be mostly cloudy with a slight chance of rain and highs in the mid 40s with overnight lows in the upper 30s. Tuesday will be cloudy with rain and possibly a few thunderstorms along with highs in the mid 40s and overnight lows in the upper 30s. Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with a chance of rain early and highs in the upper 40s with overnight lows near 40. Thursday will be mostly cloudy with highs in the lower 50s.
