A warm front is lifting north bringing with it showers across the Mid-South this morning. Cold front pushes in later today causing more rain in the forecast.
We are tracking a bit of a wet pattern in the Mid-South as we end the weekend and move into the upcoming work and school week. This morning we are seeing showers across the region and it looks like shower chance will be possible through midday. Highs today will warm into the middle 50s with cloudy skies and southwest winds around 5 mph. We will keep with small rain chances this afternoon and evening with clouds staying put across the region. Lows will fall into the 30s tonight with north winds around 5 mph setting up behind a cold front that pushes across the area.
TODAY: Mostly cloudy. 30% chance for a shower. Winds: Southwest around 5 mph. High: 55.
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy. 10% chance for showers. Winds: North around 5 mph. Low: 34.
THE WEEK AHEAD: Monday we are looking at mostly cloudy skies with a shower or two possible and highs in the upper 40s with overnight lows in the upper 30s. Tuesday we will see cloudy skies with rain and a few thunderstorms along with highs in the upper 40s and overnight lows in the lower 40s. Rain looks to continue on Wednesday with cloudy skies and afternoon highs in the middle 50s and overnight lows in the 40s. Thursday we are tracking highs near 50 degrees with cloudy skies a slight chance for a shower and overnight lows in the lower 40s. Friday will be warmer, with highs in the upper 60s and small rain chances along with overnight lows in the lower 50s.
NEXT WEEKEND: We will watch next weekend closely as we are expecting more rain in the forecast and a few storms possible. Highs will soar near 70 degrees with mainly cloudy skies.
