MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - A sheriff’s department in Arkansas is “excited” after receiving a military rescue vehicle

The Crittenden County Sheriff’s Department received the vehicle after a two year wait.

Local officers will be trained to use the unit during barricade situation, active shooters, and more.

They plan to allow other agencies to use the vehicle as well.

In a Facebook post, Crittenden County Sheriff Mike Allen says he hopes they never have to use it.

“We are excited about obtaining this vehicle for the safety of our citizens and like a fire extinguisher we hope we never have to use it but like the saying goes. By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.”
