MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Memphis in May unveiled the 2019 fine arts poster Tuesday afternoon honoring the Bluff City on her bicentennial birthday.
Evelina Dillon's painting titled "This is Memphis, This is Us" was selected by a Memphis in May panel.
For the first time ever, the public helped choose the winner by voting online.
Dillon was born in Uzbekistan and immigrated to the US in 1996.
Elvis was the only thing she knew about Memphis before she moved here, but she says she quickly learned there's much more to love about the city.
"Memphis has everything to offer,” Dillon said. “It's education. Entertainment. Sports. Anything you want to get involved in. Memphis provides that chance."
Memphis in May kicks off May 3 with the start of the Beale Street Music Festival.
