SCS Superintendent cleared of sexual harassment allegations

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Shelby County Schools Interim Superintendent Dr. Joris Ray was cleared in a sexual harassment investigation.

According to a report by the chief legal officer at SCS, an employee reported that they were sexually harassed by Ray in September. The person also alleged Ray sexually harassed several other women.

Officials with SCS said the person who submitted the complaint did not provide his/her name, the location or the dates and times when the alleged incidents happened.

After interviewing several employees, the school district deemed the allegations were unfounded and without merit.
