’Black Lives Matter Memphis’ founder announces mayoral campaign

Pamela Moses running for Memphis mayor

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - A well known activist is jumping into the race for Memphis mayor.

Pamela Moses formally announced her intentions to seek the mayor's seat this November.

Moses is the founder of the Black Lives Matter Memphis chapter.

She joins a field that already features incumbent Jim Strickland, former mayor Willie Herenton, and Shelby County Commissioner Tami Sawyer.
