Witnesses say police were following the same car Monday evening in the westbound lanes of I-240. At some point the car crossed the median and crashed in the eastbound lanes.

Justin Estabrook said it was scary seeing the speeding car and police whizzing by. Dozens of vehicles ended up stuck in traffic for hours after the crash.

Police say the suspects -- both 15-year-old males -- lost control of the car and hit two other vehicles. The teens went to the hospital in critical condition. One has since been upgraded to non-critical.

The other drivers were not injured.

Traffic was delayed for hours while police cleared the scene.
