GRAPHIC: Dog rescued after found wandering with severely swollen, infected head in Jackson

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Local nonprofit rescue in Jackson, Cheshire Abbey, was notified of a dog in south Jackson in horrible condition.

The dog had infected cuts all over her body and had been severely neglected. She was wandering the streets alone when a couple spotted her and called the rescue.

Her rescuers rushed the dog to Florence Animal Clinic for treatment.

Her head was swollen due to cuts that had become infected all over her head.

She was named Trinity and is recovering and learning what it means to be loved and cared for. You can follow Trinity’s recovery on the rescue’s Facebook page.

The dog will be treated for her injuries and will later be up for adoption and looking for her forever home with Cheshire Abbey.
