MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Memphis golfer Michaela Fletcher earned a spot in the NCAA Championship Finals.

Fletcher shot a 73 (+1) third round Wednesday to secure her spot in her second championship appearance.

She finished tied for third overall at 211 after tee times were moved up to avoid impending storms in Norman, Oklahoma.

“Honestly I just went in with the idea that I’m going to be playing my own game anyway, so the changeup of partners didn’t hurt me in any way,” Fletcher said. “The conditions this morning were just really, really tough. You knew you were just going to have to grind because everyone was going to have trouble holes. I was standing on the range with handwarmers and was all bundled up, but luckily it cleared up and made it more manageable.”

The NCAA Championship Finals will be played in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on May 17-22.
