MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - The new Shorb Tower at Methodist University Hospital is open to patients.
The $275 million expansion created a 450,000-square-foot, nine-story patient tower, which was built over the hospital as it remained fully operational throughout construction.
The tower includes 18 new operating rooms as well as a cafe, reflection room and garden. The project also included a parking plaza with 700 spaces.
The tower is named in honor of the longtime CEO Gary Shorb who retired in 2016.
